Its making a fluffier windrow,the crimping and forming shields making a nice windrow which I think will aid drying faster.

More lift with the higher % angle blades seems to be a cleaner cut

Quick change blades are a quicker simpler design then

1 st,it’s about 2 weeks behind because of late frosts and cool spring.It’s 50% bloom now

Kubota M135GX it has 3 x 8 powershift.6 mph and it’s working,but pretty heavy crop

Hmm. I wonder why Hesston/Massey doesn’t offer the Twin Max in the pull type mowers. It was a very definite step forward when my brother went from the NH rubber chevron to the Twin Max of the Massey. The one downside I see to it is that it crushes alfalfa stems so effectively that the swath is less fluffy and lays tighter against the dirt. However I would rather deal with that problem than less conditioned alfalfa that won’t dry down no matter what you do to it.

Finished 1st crop today and alfalfa mowed on Sunday was only about half bloom. When you want to move along with a big disc bine you need a good horse out front. 150 or
160hp would be good. Watching YouTube videos of the guys out your way and was wondering how you were doing.
