I have mx 8-10 rake. I'm not much of a tire guy, but it has 215/60r15 tires on it. The tire are getting weather cracked. I would like to find some used ones but i've being told that is almost impossible. I think it is hard to find to new ones, but i don't think I could wear out a set of tires before they weather cracked. I don't know if i could go to a different wheel.
Anyone else been down this road,
Thanks
Dave

I would install a set of new ST215/75R15 trailer tires and get on with life. They might be slightly taller than the original but a common size and relatively inexpensive. I’ve pretty much given up the idea of buying used 15 inch tires.

Edit to add: I see my trailer has ST205/75R15 tires on it which would be closer in size to what you need.

I've seen people use old aircraft tires. I guess they're like 10 ply with a steel belt that helps keep them from blowing out. (good for landing purposes lol) I'm not sure they come small enough but I've seen 15in rims. Probably last longer than the rake. But like gear said you could get trailer tires easy and cheapish. If they go flat easy to fix.

Buy new trailer tires around that size, you'll be fine. Trailer tires will last longer than car tires, although car tires will work too. I have the same rake (but older) and I was lucky enough to find some fresh take-offs from a nearby shop so I'll use them. The 5 lug bolt pattern is what hurts on that rake. If they had the 6 lug, a lot of older implements had 15s on them. I have an old disc and gooseneck side delivery double rake with those styles on them but can't really use them. Dismounting 2 tires just to mount one used tire isn't my idea of a good time or cost efficiency (time is worth money).
