I thought about removing side doors on my JD 467. The doors are just to give more eye appeal to balers & hold rolls of twine in their boxes. I don't use twine so that wouldn't affect my hay making operation.
The New Holland doors don’t seem to hold a great deal of trash. One thing I would recommend on the BR series NH machines is to remove the twine boxes if they are not used as they do accumulate some debris in, above, and somewhat behind them.
Twine boxes from my NH BR are sitting in the shop loft for the next owner. The side doors don't hold too much chaff. Most collects on the top sides of the wide pickup and rotor drive chains, and up on top of the baler around my acid applicator tank.
