Considering doing this. Want float for my discbine and have 2 series 200 valves on my 6310 tractor. Funny, when I needed "motor" setting on a JD 6130D to run a haybuster bale shredder, I had to get the "deluxe valve". Now, to get float which I thought was a given, on my 6310, I have to get the deluxe valve.

Anyone on HT made this switch and is it difficult? Do you have to change both valves or can you have a series 200 and 300 on the same tractor. Looks like a 500-750$ job for parts unless I am missing something. Anyone know where to get a second hand one cheap? Thanks.

Did this get figured out? it looks like both 200 and 300 series valves have detented float. 200 series has two selections on the black knob at top of valve, 300 series has three selections and a flow control
Not yet. The two positions are motor and up and down, but no detent. this was confirmed by the jd shop mgr. I am assuming that closed car hydraulic systems is why
