Panoramic 2SL or Plateau on Bermudagrass

I use Panoramic at 6-8 ounces an acre for Vasey Grass control in my Bermuda. I don’t like using it unless I have to because of the damage it does to the Bermuda. Not sure if it will act the same on your type of Bermuda but I lose a cutting when used. That’s why I just use it on my trouble areas and never spray all of the fields. This is the only remedy I have found for Vasey Grass and I have tried several different options but they only suppress the Vasey. I am sure the affects of the Panoramic would be less if I had a way of irrigating but I don’t have that option. My advice would be to use Panoramic as a last option but that’s just my opinion

Thank you for the info and yes that’s pretty much what to expect from using that type of herbicide. I always keep some on hand just in case because it does a good job but I always use it later in the summer so it doesn’t cut me short on hay but make sure Bermuda has plenty of time to come back before frost. The best product I have used for summer annual grasses and weed is a pre emergent called Rezilon. It is expensive but does a fine job when using 3 ounces twice a year. Just remember it doesn’t need to be used on a stand of grass that needs to spread. It won’t let the Bermuda runners penetrate the ground. I use it on my thick established stands and it definitely works. This works best for a cleaner stand of grass than anything I have found. For the perennials I have to resort to a post emergence herbicide and that just depends on which type of grass.
