The rains have kept out of this flood plain field al spring and summer. Also finishing up some 1st cut for a neighbor. Going to be ripe! We were able to knock out some 4x5’s weighing 900-1000 about every 40 seconds
Sometimes I envy those that can control their climate with irrigation and cut n bale as needed....but for the rest of us we work with what nature gives us and sometimes that's first cutting in july
First cutting in July would be awesome. Its middle of August and everybody around here is still picking away at our first/only cutting. With luck it'll be done by September this year, but I've made plenty of hay into October before.
