That is a very nice model! Where did you get it?

Still running the same D1000 my dad bought 25 years ago.

that’s a nice outfit there. The model came out of the Netherlands they 200 red 200 yellow made . That baler was fairly new 25 years ago
I believe the D1000 was built from around 1989 to 1995. Ours was built a little later in that run, not real late but late enough to have a serial number past the major SN break were NH changed a number of things.

Ralph they actually make one in the BB series now that’s almost the same dimensions as the 2 x 3
BB230? Not sure if they make that anymore. That had a different actual size than the D1000 which was 24” x 36”. If my memory serves, the BB230 was a 32.5” wide chamber and something like 27” tall. Kind of a sawed off 3x3.

Gauge bad?

Is the valve for the auto control switched to the manual setting? There are two valves in that block, one needs to be set for either auto or manual control and the other sets the pressure when in manual mode.

Used to be I got wary that the hay was too wet if the auto system was much under 500 PSI. Now I just watch the applicator monitor.

Yes it’s setup for manual on the valve. My twine won’t hold at much above 200 psi . Normally run about 70 to 80 in hay
