I posted awhile back about my baler that randomly had a knotted bust and I appreciate the help. Recently the twine finger cam busted on it has me puzzled also. It busted at the keyway knocking a chunk out it. Any insight is appreciated. I can’t figure out what would cause it to bind hard enough to break. It was replaced at the same time I replaced the knotter. Just trying to keep it from happening again. Thanks for the replies in advance.

What happens is the hay dog that is located under the cam pops out of the slot and with enough wear moves enough to the side that the tip of the haydog hangs on the top of the bale case aside of the slot directly under the twine finger cam. Take a grinder and widen the slot at the tip of the haydog about 1/8" on each side. I also put a slight taper on the end of the haydog tip.
