I have a 4560 that the three point will only raise about 10" when under a load. When nothing is on the three point it raises all the way up. I believe the fluid is going into the bypass when under a load. Also, the three point lever in the cab seems like it only has to move an inch or so for the the arms to be all the up or all the way down. How can I check if the bypass is sett correctly? The fluid also looks to be in good shape. Thanks for the help.

I'd recommend getting a manual for the tractor. It will outline exactly where to set all of your levers/settings.

Your point on moving the lever an inch and the arms travel all the way up or all the way down sounds just like an issue I was having last summer with my 2840.

The lever for 3-point was loose at the bottom where it connects to the rod that goes inside top cover. There is a 9/16" nut that keeps backing off and I have to keep retightening it.

I agree a tech manual is a very good asset to help diagnose problems. I also suggest to remove the plug(item 5) in rockshaft piston cover & monitor hyd pressure(2530 psi) when attempting to raise 3 pt hitch. I also suggest to adjust L/D control following steps outlined in JD tech manual. 3 pt pressure relief valve(item 40 in 2nd photo) appears to be non-adjustable.

I would do exactly as Jim says only adding that those 60 series with with them dang crossbreed lifts are a butt to get right. Lift height and travel are electric while load control is still mechanical. No way I would adjust anything without a genuine JD tech manual.
