So I bought this used and I am doing a drive roller bearing replacement. Is the dark ring beside the roller a washer? I replaced the washers once and it wouldn't turn. I wonder if this dark ring a factory washer? Ie, am I trying to put too many washers between the bearing and the drive roller. Here are some pics and the manual photo. The screwdriver is pointing out the ring in question. Thanks in advance for your help.

If you can see a radius on the shaft where the washer would go, then there is no washer there. If it appears the shaft makes a sharp 90 degree to the shoulder a washer is there. The first washer must have a chamfer on one side to match the radius cut into the shaft at the shoulder.

The gold washer appears to be too thick. The parts manual shows a 1 mm thick washer after the chamfered washer. A second 1 mm washer goes on after the bearing is installed.
