Where are you located? In our parts I wouldn’t even consider brome. Both will give 2 cuttings in a normal year; fescue will beat the pants off brome (smooth brome anyway) both cuttings and especially second cutting for tonnage. Also brome doesn’t hold up to hard grazing like fescue will.

Fescue is cooler temp grass. Brome is hotter temp grass. In the end fescue will always win. Keep the endophyte count down by not letting the fescue go to seed. Do earlier cuttings if the weather allows it. Let the buyers know you know about this. It will win over the picky horsey folks.
