Enrossi drum vs Massey disc

I think i know the answer, but just checking to see if there's anything i'm missing. This is the decision:

Enrossi BT165M drum mower vs Massey is a DM205 disc mower

About the same price (both new-ish, 2018). The Enrossi is a little cheaper. I have small acreage grass hay. Have had trouble getting stuff to dry in my area due to morning fog that likes to settle in on my property. But, a lot of my issues have been due to paying others to do the cutting (I do the bailing + raking). It's just never on a good timeline when someone else is doing it. Also, the guy who typically does it makes very large/thick windrows and without a tedder, i think getting the deep/wide rows to dry has been a big issue. I want to cut myself and I think i'll be a lot better off just having smaller windrows.

Enorossi doesn't make bad machines, but they are generally light weight
MF would make implements of a better quality (IMO) and parts may be more readily available.
I imagine these are used pieces, do you have support nearby?

DM205 by a mile - and find a cheap tedder somewhere. You can roll a windrow 5 times with a rake and its not as good as one tedder pass.

Actually don't have Enrossi support nearby I don't think. I've got an LS, Newholland, Kubota, Case, MF. MF has the best support by far where i'm at. I rebuilt that Hesston 4600 bailer from the ground up with them last year and had excellent support for parts. So, i'm inclined on the MF I guess.

Person wants $4500 for the Enrossi. MF the guy wants $5500. The MF is actually being sold privately to me (if I want it) from the local dealer. It was his personal mower and he finally got a bigger tractor + upgraded. He's been using it 2 seasons on 80 acres. Told me he'd sell it to me when I was squawking on new mower prices he was quoting.

For me it's a no brainer...MF all the way!

I always consider dealer support about 50% of the purchase decision. In my area, I have excellent Massey Ferguson and John Deere dealer support. So that's where I tend to go unless something really looks good from another brand. So if you have good Massey support, I'd go there. Have you asked the dealer to hook it up and run it. Also on a disc mower, with it unhooked from tractor, move the end disc. The other end disc should move as well. If there is much of a lag, then I've heard internal teeth are worn. So move on. You can always asked the dealer if they will throw in a set of new knives and maybe belts to sweeten the deal. Good luck!
