I ran a Krone 283S for the better part of 19 years doing 1,000 4x6 bales per year, they are durable. The only things i had to do was rebuild one hub and have the lift cylinder rebuilt. It finally got to the point where all the turtles and top hats were going to have to be replaced (read more $ than it was worth) so i traded it for a Vermeer and I like it equally as well. Vermeer dominates the market here mainly the 18 footers followed by JD and NH and some Kubota's. There are 0 Kuhns. When it comes down to it, buy which ever one you feel comfortable with.
