Question: I have a NH BR7060 Silage Special, it is equipped for net wrap. I’m wondering if, instead of using net wrap, can I use some sort of plastic film?

I have the same question - I would like to use a file to keep bales dry that can't be stored inside. Will watch this thread closely.

New Holland sells black net wrap you can run. But it's not plastic film like from a wrapper. Theres no plastic film that you can run in the baler.

I don’t know where a person would find the product, but my BR780A manual definitely describes the process of using a film wrap instead of a net wrap. This is not that extruded black wrap, nor a woven net but a solid film. There were some wrap mechanism parts specifically for film wrap, and also specific trouble shooting tips for it.

I haven’t looked long enough in the tomes that came with my 560s to see if NH offed that option on them or not.

I have never seen it used, and I don't know where you can find it either.
John Deere has something balled "B-Wrap". It's a plastic film they claim will keep rain & snow out, yet it can breathe so moisture can get out, thereby keeping the hay from molding. According to Google, it cost $7-8 / bale. Will it work in a New Holland? I don't know.

B Wrap will not work in NH; it is a Deere exclusive and requires the B Wrap equipment on the baler. B Wrap is expensive, but also effective.
