Anybody changed the ac suction line from the compressor to the base of the cab on the right hand side of tractor? The worst of it is when you notice the heater hoses go up the left hand side of the cab and JD decided the ac lines needed to go up the right hand side. The metal line has about 18" of hose in the middle of it and goes for 490 bucks. OUCH!

I have already changed the line out. It was a quite a undertaking. After disconnecting all the linkages and raising the front of the cab up over a foot just to be able to change a ac line out it will make you wonder about the engineers who designed this tractor. I do not know how user friendly this tractor is but if this is any example of the rest of the tractor it is not mechanic friendly. What really bothered me was seeing the heater hoses going up the left side of the cab and knowing how simple it would have been to run the ac lines up the same side of the tractor the compressor is on. HELL RAY CHARLES could see a better routing of the lines.

That is what I think also. The new cars and trucks are designed for assembly. All the connections snap together but suck to get apart for the most part. This 6140D is not a tilt cab model and that leads to more problems. I have to "assume" that if it were at a stealership they would just lift the entire cab off like they do when they do engine work on modern diesel pickups. I am sure if and when another one comes in I will have to pass on it and let JD try to justify their hours instead of me having to.
