Hello all! I’m very actively searching for a 2x3 big baler.
Claas 1100.
New Holland d800.
Where we farm in Pennsylvania, it’s hilly and I’m trying to stay with something I can comfortably control with my 1066 on duals.
Also, as with everyone I know who’s a small operator. Budget is everything. I can not afford to go buy a 3x3-3x4-4x4 and the supporting tractor needed.
We’re only around 250-300 acres and it just doesn’t make sense!
Any help in locating one would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to haytalk!

A 1066 will handle a D800 or D1000 fine. Did it for years. D800s are rare and I would much favor the D1000 anyway. It is the same machine with a 4 stroke stuffer instead of 2, electronic monitoring of the baler functions, and electric over hydraulic bale density control. I know a guy who just traded a D1000 on a NH 3x3 in PA, I will find out where it is exactly.

Edit to add, PM sent.
