That time again.....

Picked up the B1 Stealth mower today.
Blade change and new bottom shaft on conditioner. Had to swap the front pto shaft as one that was on it is a large 1000. Finally got going.

Start of April... last cut and first cut of new stands sown just before Christmas. Baled a few days early as rain was coming. Have had 60mm since then. Bales going straight in mixer for milkers

Still two feet of snow on the ground here. Am considering taking tractor out into west field and piling up snow to read ”FJB”. Should be visible to air traffic between Jackson Hole and Salt Lake City for a few weeks. Nothing else to do, really. I almost have myself talked into it. Will post a pic if I do it.

Weather has definitely turned here. Season is done for 22/23. Was meant to be a dry Autumn according to all the so called weather experts. Far from that now.
Hay looks really nice, but I really like that semi trailer with another semi trailer attached setup. How far do you travel with that?

Not my truck. But they came about 500kms for that load. Combination is called a "b double". Front trailer is the A trailer and rear is the B trailer . Combinations of 2 rear trailers is called a road train.

About 300 miles to come get that nice hay! Diesel fuel for that hauler isn't cheap.

I don't think our laws would allow that setup on trailer attachment, but I am not sure. I know you have some long and lonely highways in the Down Under land so maybe it is a little easier to rig up trailer connections.

That sucks. We don't have snow in Indiana but it has been unseasonably cold and not much is getting planted. All we can do is wait it out.

If only! That is a wheel line. We have several of them to irrigate our place. An antiquated system but it is better than nothing.
gosh, you have my sympathy. We've had below normal temps March and most of April, but at least the snow is gone.

Calico, Michigan and Canada allow B-trains not sure if there are states out west that have them. Can pull doubles in some states not sure on restrictions.

Those wheels out there are a little over 5 feet tall. At least I can see the pipe now, so that’s the good news. But the bad news is there’s still two feet of snow out there. Just amazing. We are used to having a big winter, but for it to hang on like this is ridiculous.

They allow b triples on certain roads in my area now.

No, I know, just trying to inject some humor into a non-humous situation

First cutting alfalfa and some mix.. dew got my color a little on the mix but bales are nice and solid… all hay is very dry.. the dust driving loads to the shed is miserable.. mid 80s, low humidity and wind is making hay dry super fast and it’s getting ahead of me .. better that way than questionable high moisture but dilutes some quality and yield.. yields are average but nothing to jump up and down about since we’ve been so dry.. me and my college guy did just shy of 2000 bales over the last 2 days, not bad for wannabes
