That time again.....

Picked up the B1 Stealth mower today.
Blade change and new bottom shaft on conditioner. Had to swap the front pto shaft as one that was on it is a large 1000. Finally got going.

I have neighbours still cutting non-irrigated paddocks today. Latest hay season for about 25 years. Normally done and dusted a good month ago. For our North American friends, this is an area where we rarely get more than one cut.

Broken.....

and found one end of the threaded rod...

didn't find the handle end though.... I'm presuming it launched a fair distance when it snapped.. Had to raid the stealth mower..

I had just bought my sons a metal detector when my mower let loose. Detector paid for itself that day. All parts were within a few feet and under the windrow.

Where I live, the fire agencies no longer use the term "controlled burn" since too many of them got out of control. Now they call them "planned burn".

Bit of "carbon capture" yesterday.Price of string is getting out of hand , so this year I thoughtid try these...Trouble is I need to tie 3 together to go around the bale and they're a bit thick for the knotters.....
