We have a NH 114 haybine that keeps breaking the rocker arms.  Just replaced the connecting rod and bushing on the right side along with the bushing on the sickle bar and thought that would fix it, but only made two rounds in the field before the rocker arms bent and broke again.  Any ideas?

We kept breaking the drive bolt, adapter and sickle adapter bit on a 489, the mounting strip for the guards was bent up in the middle so the force to move the knife was too high.

Try sliding the knife by hand, if it moves hard it’s gonna break things quickly.

Thanks.  We'll look at it.
