What's the best prey to go after with Falcons, or is there a best one? I suppose winter is the best in terms of seeing them "work"?

When I was guiding quail hunters I had a couple falconers book with me. What the liked best was small desert ponds with a handful of ducks. The hawks were awesome to watch.

Here is my nervous Kathleen with one of the hawks, it was heavy she said!

Bird hunting, Quail, Dove, Grouse, waterfowl etc. is most enjoyable and quite a show.

Looks to be a Harris Hawk....my son has two of those and the Hawks are quite social and work together extremely well. Kathleen did well as most are unwilling to handle.
