Hey, I just wanted to share with you fellow gmd 500-700 owners the dilema I am having. My mower hit a object and did the saftey break-away feature. Once it did that I noticed the front cover on my gearbox cracked and lost oil. I have a 93' model, still looks new! Anyways I went through John Deere dealer ordering another cover, and Kuhn claims it fits that model (serial number) and year mower but it doesn't. My cover has a indition in for the gear box bearing to spin in, and the new one does not have a machined out area for the bearing and doesn't want to fit completely on the gear box bearing. Anyone ever had this happen, what to do? Thanks

I would call Kuhn Customer Service and see what they suggest.
