I have had this new holland 575 for several years been a great baler. Today at the end of the field the pto shaft popped out of the clutch housing onto the ground and we stopped immediately.
Looking it over the 1/2 bolt with the grease zerk in it that goes into the clutch houseing came loose and it popped right out. So we went to the new holland dealer bought the new bolt and put it back together and made sure everything was right.
after about 20 bales going slowly it popped right out again. I have never had this problem with this baler before. Anybody ever have this happen?? I am thinking to put it back in with loctite.

I think it would be a good idea to do some more investigating. With that happening that quickly it leads me to believe that something is either broke, worn, or out of adjustment.

On the 575 with the pto problem::you will need to replace the part the bolt goes into ::it is the" clutch pilot":: This has happened to us.

Did you also re-install the two flat washers along with the Bolt?

Yes new bolt and the two washers. I have the proper override on the clutch and everything runs smooth no jerking or anything on the pto shaft. Put it together one more time and if it doesnt stay in I guess its replace the clutch pilot. Examined it inside threads appear good with no dammage.Did you also re-install the two flat washers along with the Bolt?

I hit mine with a heavy dose of lock-tite, seemed to work.

I hit mine with the loctite too only because the parts guy at new holland told me the threads get stressed on these and he would use the loctite when putting it together.I hit mine with a heavy dose of lock-tite, seemed to work.
I didnt think it was a good idea the first time but since it might be the clutch pilot that is bad its a way cheaper fix if it works.
Guess we will see if that stuff lives upto its name.
