I have an 8330 case mower conditioner and I cannot get the head to sit on the ground. It does not seem to go low enough so that the skids take the weight. I have raised the skids, and adjusted the lift cylinder. Seems to stop on something with the knives about 4 or 5 inches off the ground. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Try bleeding the cylinders. Also try new tips on the hoses. Something else to look at although I doubt it is your problem but look at your header float springs. I have had all these problems in the past. Good luck

you might lift it up all the way and hold it to bleed the cylinders as these are a master slave in a series and if they leak down it will mess up or your float springs are too tight and its not letting it all the way down
