as a refresher course and to go more in depth on important forage and animal topics. Updates on new research through the University of Kentucky will also be presented by UK specialists.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. EDT. Topics include strip grazing and livestock management, summer annual forages, health considerations for grazing ruminants, tall fescue varieties and management, benefits and limitations of herbicides and ultra-high density grazing. The program will also include demonstrations and hands-on activities.
The registration fee is $20. Registration forms are available on the UK Forages website at http://www.uky.edu/Ag/Forage/or at the local office of the UK Cooperative Extension Service.
Pre-registration is required by July 2.
