I have been considering getting into small time haying (1000 bales or less) for quite some time and an oportunity has just come up. A friend of mine is giving me some equipment just to get rid of it. I am quite familiar with the rake which is an international side delivery, but I am wondering about the tedder and baler.
Tedder is a Fahr 4 basket tedder/rake combo, he said they just ted with it because it doesn't rake well. I am not familiar with these, are they any good?
Baler is a New Holland Hayliner #67, which is a model I am not familiar with, it was baling a couple of years ago and is in working condition, Any insight as to how well these preform.
I still will need to buy a mower.
I grew up haying on a dairy farm but back then I was too busy chasing the farmers daughters to pay much mind to the equipment.
