Massey 228 baler

How yall doin tonight. I was at the local dealer today talkin with a sales rep he was telling me about a massey 228 they rebuilt for a customer and he did not want to pay the bill. Which was $5500 for parts and labour it has been for sale for quite some time and they now want $4500 for it. I do not know anything about these balers and i was hoping you guys could tell me some things about these balers. Are these balers plastic or sisal? What is the capacity like. Would these balers make a good baler? I would appreciate any information.

Sorry, but I have no experience with MF balers, however there are two of them on Tractorhouse (one with a thrower) for more money. Depending on the shape of the baler and what they rebuilt on it, I suspect the previous owner figured that the bill was more than the baler was worth. Personally, I wouldn't offer them any more than $3K for it.
