@  paoutdoorsman : (21 October 2016 - 09:39 AM) Best wishes on your birthday Tater and HayJosh! Hope you're just busy. @Vol, HayTalk kick out a birthday email? Maybe that will remind them to stop back around...
@  paoutdoorsman : (21 October 2016 - 09:37 AM) @PaMike, hope work isn't 'bugging' you as much these days :D
@  paoutdoorsman : (21 October 2016 - 09:36 AM) I hear you @endrow. I think my beans are coming off next week. Need to get wheat in the ground. I do have some spots that are really taking their time drying down this fall. Strange for how dry it is.
@  PaMike : (21 October 2016 - 08:14 AM) I was thinking one or two guys on here had met Tator... maybe I am wrong... Maybe Endrow can take another bike ride to the beach and checkup on him...Delaware isn't THAT big...
@  Shetland She... : (21 October 2016 - 06:35 AM) 52º and foggy here in srn NH. Today may have rain with a high in mid 60s.
@  somedevildawg : (21 October 2016 - 06:35 AM) Birthday wishes Tater, hayjosh.....hope all is well, enjoy your day!
@  Vol : (21 October 2016 - 06:30 AM) I kind of went through and read Taters last posts on HT and everything seems to be normal....I hope the man has not become out of sorts health wise. Does anyone know of his close proximity where he could be checked upon?
@  endrow : (21 October 2016 - 05:30 AM) Guy who runs our local elevator says most of those guys give up 17 and 18% right now they scream and yell they won't touch it and combine everything at 24% sometime between the 1st and 2nd snowstorm
@  endrow : (21 October 2016 - 05:29 AM) I think the nice days are precious this time of year I say this not sarcastically but there's a BTO, who's just about done with 15000 Acres of corn and beans we took advantage of this nice weather and busted her butt it blows my mind the people who have not turn the wheel yet in Fall Harvest they are waiting for everything to be completely filled dry every square inch of the way comma
@  endrow : (21 October 2016 - 05:26 AM) Combined about 125 Acres that being the last couple days that we're planning to last week in June ,they cut nice which is kind of tricky this time of year when they're a little shorter and Stems are softer, we are close to the end now in these fields the big fields there was a little bit along the tree Row that is very green tour of rotor belt in the tree line two mornings ago. So I left all those edges stand probably got about 12 acres that I'm going to have to run back after and try to beat them through. Some guys would have left those hundred and twenty-five Acres stand to the edges of the field were fit
@  PaMike : (21 October 2016 - 05:19 AM) Man, I wonder what happened to Tater
@  Vol : (21 October 2016 - 05:08 AM) I am going to give a birthday shout out to Tater Salad and Hayjosh....neither have been signed on for awhile....especially Tater who has been out since July.
@  stack em up : (20 October 2016 - 09:23 PM) I hear ya Gearclash. With us, it's the insane heavy dews weve been getting. Can't combine till late morning, husks are too damp to do a good job.
@  Vol : (20 October 2016 - 07:48 PM) I have not received so much as a single drop of rain out of this front.....I felt sure that this front would be the one to give us a inch or more of rain. Since January 1 we have gotten 26.62" of rain.....we should have totaled about 42" by now.....the we have had about 3" of rain since June 15th.....this is the worst drought in my lifetime now....it was bad in 1984 but that was due to about a month of 100° temps with no rain in August.
@  Gearclash : (20 October 2016 - 07:36 PM) Stalk baling is turning into a long grind this fall. Only get a couple decent baling days at a time. Too humid.
@  mlappin : (20 October 2016 - 03:54 PM) Didn’t get that much here, but had 7/10’s last Wednesday, 1.5” Sunday and another quarter last night, still drizzling.
@  haybaler101 : (20 October 2016 - 03:21 PM) Our good run has ended. Got between 3 and 4" in last 24 hours.
@  endrow : (20 October 2016 - 03:08 PM) They said it was going to rain drift a little bit when we got up at 4:30 the wife and I were going to get ready and take a day and a half off this weekend from the farm we've only been on vacation about 2 days but I am combining beans maybe tomorrow
@  Vol : (20 October 2016 - 01:18 PM) Excellent book by Root. I have had a copy for many many years. My go to book I use the most now is The Practical Beekeeper by Michael Bush. I highly recommend it stack.
@  labdwakin : (20 October 2016 - 10:40 AM) ABCXYZ isn't so much a how-to book as all about everything Root knew about them... I've had to just kind of pick my way through it as I needed information... very difficult to just sit down and read but FULL of very useful information even though some of it may be a little outdated
